To try and encapsulate Squam Art Workshops into a quick summary is to try and stuff a lightning bug into a glass jar as it is not merely an event in a spectacular setting, nor is it simply the chance to participate in a wide (and sometimes wild) range of creative workshops. Rather, it is what happens when you bring those two elements together and add in the remarkable people who come to the shores of Squam Lake for a retreat that has been described as both mystical and magical.

Attendees travel quite a ways to join this gathering. Over 27 different US states are regularly represented at our retreats as well as parts of Canada that include Vancouver, Toronto, and Quebec. Mexico, Switzerland and the UK have also been starting points on the journey to Squam Art Workshops.

For the best understanding of what it's like, we suggest that you visit the RAVES page and read through what people have written about their experience or watch the videos posted there.

What you can expect are vintage cabins built at the turn of the 20th century tucked within a grove of pine, white birch, maple and oak trees. Most of the cabins have a direct view of the lake and all have working fireplaces, at least one screened porch and their own dock. Well, that is for all the sessions taking place at Rockywold-Deephaven Camps. For the first time ever, we are also offering a brand-new session that will take place on the spectacular beach of Nags Head on the Outer Banks, NC.

Depending on the session you choose, any number of programs and workshops might be on offer. To review exactly what classes or programs are available, click on SESSIONS and scroll through the listings. However, no matter which session you choose, it will be an experience that will open you up to your best self and reconnect you with what makes you most happy. At least that is our hope.

And, as always, never hesitate to write us with any questions you might have (although PLEASE do first check out the FAQ section to make sure we haven't already answered it there).
