I am a natural dyer, educator, gardener, and designer. I teach workshops and lead retreats all over the country, served on the board of Local Cloth, and been involved in Fibersheds, from Northern California, to the Mid-Atlantic, to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
By exploring the collision of textiles, plants, and sustainability, my goal is to help make the study of natural dyes accessible to everyone through education and enthusiasm. I am lifelong learner and student of yoga (RYT200), and currently enrolled in my third Yoga Teacher Training program. I often draw elements from these teachings in into my creative workshops.
When not teaching in-person and online courses, I grow my own seasonal dye plants at home for closer experimentation; often sharing seeds and sprouts with students. You can find me on Instagram @kristin.arzt
