We are so thrilled to have Mary Jane Mucklestone return to the lake with a most wonderful offering. If you know MJ, then you know she is a popular teacher who always creates a lively, fun, and informative class.
MJ loves to knit and more specifically, she loves to knit with color. In fact, she poured her love of color work into two much beloved stitch dictionaries: 200 Fair Isle Motifs and 150 Scandinavian Motifs. Both are knitting design essentials and have been translated into many languages.
In addition, MJ has written Fair Isle Style which is a terrific collection of color work projects from 18 different designers. Her aim when teaching is to give students the courage to try something new.
When she is not traveling around the world to study traditional knitting techniques, teach her ever popular workshops or to dive even more deeply into the history of knitting, MJ is home in Portland, ME.
