One of the funny misconceptions people have about Squam is that there is a “type” of person who attends. That somehow, there is a box that we all fit into. Nothing could be further from the truth. The simple fact is, what brings us together to take some time to gather for an extended retreat is that there is an intangible that connects us all (a love of creative expression) and that this creativity — and the way we NURTURE this creativity– is unique to each of us.

And, in a most perfect example of her easy-going, fun-loving personality, she never corrected me. She just smiled and answered to it. Ha.
I asked Kat if she would chat with me on the dock because I wanted to hear more about her pursuits into the world of pop culture which is not something I am familiar with. We had so much fun it was hard to end the conversation — I think we could have gone on talking for another three hours– so we’ll have to continue another time.

And of course, as you will hear– we HAD to meet SPACE GIRL!!
