What first drew me to the work of KARIN OLAH is the etheral quality of the colors she creates juxtaposed with the texture of textiles. There was so much light and JOY in her paintings. I hadn’t seen anything quite like it before and was enchanted — and, now that I have met her, I can see how this is her very personality writ large.
Best of all? This SEPTEMBER, Karin will be traveling up to join us at the lake to share her painting techniques in a most wonderful class.
In our conversation on the dock, you will learn how Karin’s work is deeply influenced by the world around her.
First, the bold, graphic Amish quilts of her childhood in Pennsylvania and today, the soft ocean shores of her home in South Carolina.
You will also hear how she has been living my dream life (<—yes!! she totally has!) and how, after a stint in NYC, she now gets the best of both city and sea living in the uber creative land of Charleston, SC.
For more interviews with Karin visit her PRESS page. She shares more about her process there which I totally love learning about . . .
bisous, Elizabeth
