THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST.
THIS WORKSHOP IS NOW CLOSED.
Join us at Squam HQ for a day of making macrame
wall hangings with artist Michael Gabrielle.
Macrame is an ancient technique of creating beautiful geometric and organic shapes with nothing more than string and knots. This art form lends itself to freeform expression and Michael is setting the bar high with how he has pushed the edges of what you can create.
His signature style blends strength with fragility. There is something rather magical in how he can take simple rope and transform it into spectacular beauty. Best of all? Michael loves to teach and share his passion for this super fun way of bringing beauty into your home. As a self-taught macrame artist, Michael has developed his own brand of tips, tricks and as well as a unique approach that demystifies the complexity without sacrificing the exquisite results. After a day with him, you will be be looking at the string, yarn, thread and rope around you in a whole new way and, no doubt, ready to start creating pieces that reflect your personal style.
Another element of this super mojo day is that we will have EM FALCONBRIDGE with us! Em will be infusing some oil magic into the day and you can expect all sorts of creativity and fun woven into our time together as we will be making a nature mandala for inspiration, to get grounded and to clarify our intentions.
Mostly? This offering is all about enjoying a day
of ease, play and making in the heart of Providence.
