If you sometimes feel overwhelmed with your crafting to-do list — if you want to switch gears and make sewing into a soul-quenching practice of self-care, then pack up your basic sewing kit and head to Squam!
Enjoy a peace-filled, relaxing day of sewing while creating your own easy-to-fit top as Meg weaves stitching together with mindfulness practices and moving meditation.
With Meg’s hands on support, you will be able to customize your top with embroidery or patchwork or, if you are looking to keep things simple stick to a sleeved or sleeveless version.
PLUS:
- Take the time to learn how to make your garments beautiful and sturdy from the inside-out using the Hong Kong finish for seam allowances.
- Finish your collar with some invisible hand-stitching while sitting in quietly in nature.
*Beginning sewists will feel comfortable in this class if they’ve sewn a simple garment or two before. Quilters who have shied away from garment sewing are welcome! Intermediate and advanced sewists will find their skills are honored and will appreciate the philosophical bent of the class.
