Join Natalie Miller for this colourful and inspiring workshop – an introduction to tapestry weaving with hand dyed wools, silk, roving and raffia.
- You’ll learn how to warp up onto a timber loom.
- Explore different tapestry weaving techniques.
- Explore the essence of colour, form and texture to create a wonderful woven wall hanging from a range of natural fibres.
- At the end of the workshop you’ll take home your very own Ashford timber weaving loom, timber bobbin, entire roll of cotton warp and a selection of hand dyed wool and fibres in a canvas carry bag. This little bag of goodies will contain everything you need to continue your weaving from home.
Be prepared to get addicted to this crafting goodness!
Please note: there are two ways to address the cost of the materials needed for this workshop.
Option One: 58 USD
You will receive:
– Ashford timber weaving loom
– Timber bobbin
– Timber rod
– Entire roll of tapestry cotton warp
– Selection of hand dyed wools in a canvas carry bag
Option Two: 20 USD (You provide your own loom, warp, and bobbin)
You will receive:
– Timber rod
– Selection of hand dyed wools in a canvas carry bag
*Kit fees are paid directly to Natalie on the day of class.
